Docs/Changelog Feature

Changelog

Upshot generates and hosts a public changelog for your product — automatically populated from your Customer-audience reports.

How it works

  1. When you publish a Customer-audience report, its content is automatically formatted as a changelog entry
  2. Entries are published to your organization's changelog at upshot.wellcode.ai/changelog/[your-org]
  3. Each entry includes a date, title, and categorized list of changes

Multi-tenant

Each organization gets its own changelog URL. You can embed it in your product, link from your docs, or use it as your primary changelog. Changelogs are public by default — no login required for readers.

Editorial style

Changelog entries are organized into categories:

  • New Features — new capabilities your customers can use
  • 🔧 Improvements — enhancements to existing features
  • 🐛 Bug Fixes — resolved issues (customer-safe ones only)
  • Performance — speed and reliability improvements

Each item is written as an "issue card" — a brief, scannable description with context about what changed and why it matters to users.

Navigation

The changelog page includes chronological navigation, search, and category filtering. Readers can subscribe to updates via RSS.

Customization

  • Custom subdomain or path (coming soon)
  • Brand colors and logo via organization settings
  • Edit entries before or after publishing
  • Pin important entries to the top
